The German Newspaper 'TAZ' reports about plastic-eating bacteria

'Plastikfressendes Bakterium entdeckt: Sie lieben Müll'

The German newspaper TAZ is also reporting about the new bacteria Ideonella Sakaiensis that is capable to breakdown plastic (PET). This article includes a comment from Lars Blank, in which he also refers to P4SB and Pseudomonas putida.

The world’s first bioplastic from sewage

The world’s first bioplastic from sewage water has arrived! Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) are fully biodegradable plastics that, under normal conditions, will degrade within a relatively short period of time. In P4SB we are struggling to convert man-made plastics into PHA as well.
